What happens when the landscape wraps around the body?
Woven Landscape is a project that transforms Icelandic nature into textile. Patterns found in moss, lava, lichen, and other surface layers of the earth move from nature → to photograph → to textile → to the body.
The work creates a new and personal connection to the land — where a landscape that often disappears beneath our feet becomes a material that can be touched, worn, and experienced in a new way.
All textiles are produced using high-quality printing in Denmark.
About the Images
The visual material originates from the photographic series Hringir – Circles.
The photographs focus on the small worlds of nature — patterns, textures, and colors found in close observation of the earth’s surface. Each image captures a moment often overlooked, yet holding traces of time, movement, and stillness.
